This page explains what TRI Monitoring ("TRI", "we") collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The short version: we use your data to show you your credit, we keep report data behind sign-in, and you can delete everything at any time.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, a scrambled (hashed) password, and your goal and target date if you give them.
- Identity details for verification: name, address, date of birth, phone and Social Security number. These go to our credit data provider to find your file. We do not store your Social Security number.
- Credit data: reports, scores and monitoring alerts from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, delivered by our data provider at your written instruction.
- Records of your choices: each consent you give or withdraw, with its version and time.
- Usage and marketing data: pages visited, the site or campaign that sent you (for example UTM tags or a partner link), device type, and whether you opened or clicked our emails. This never includes credit data.
How we use it
- To verify your identity and pull the reports you ask for.
- To show changes, readiness checks and alerts, and to email you that something changed. Emails never include report details.
- To run billing for the paid plan, including renewal reminders.
- To understand which pages and campaigns work, and to pay partners who referred you. Partners see counts and commissions only, never who you are or anything about your credit.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud.
Who we share it with
- Our credit data provider and the credit bureaus, to verify you and deliver your reports.
- Service providers that run parts of TRI for us, such as hosting, email delivery and product analytics. They may use data only to provide their service to us. Product analytics never records pages that show credit or identity data.
- Our CRM and marketing tools receive contact and marketing fields (name, email, sign-up source, plan and stage). They never receive credit data.
- When the law requires it, or to protect you, us or others from fraud.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie, a cookie that remembers your color theme, a first-party visitor cookie that tells us which campaign or partner sent you, and, if you came from a partner, a cookie that credits that partner for 30 days.
Your choices
- Withdraw permission to pull your reports on the "Who can see my credit" page. All pulls and monitoring stop.
- Turn alert emails off in alert settings.
- Download all your data or delete your account on the "My data" page. Deletion removes your reports and personal data and closes your account with our data provider. We keep a minimal record that an account existed and was deleted, without its contents.
Security
Connections are encrypted, report pages are never cached in your browser, and you can protect your account with a passkey or an authenticator app. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us right away at support@trimonitoring.com if you notice anything wrong.
