Questions

Does checking my credit here lower my score?

No. Checking your own credit is a soft inquiry. It never affects your scores and lenders do not see it.

Which scores do mortgage lenders use?

Most lenders pull Classic FICO versions: FICO Score 2 from Experian, FICO Score 5 from Equifax and FICO Score 4 from TransUnion. Lenders selling loans to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac may also use VantageScore 4.0. We label every score with its exact model, bureau and date.

Why is my score different in other apps?

Most free apps show one score model, often from one bureau. A mortgage lender looks at three bureaus and older FICO versions, so the number they use can be quite different from the one you are used to seeing.

What is the middle score?

For one borrower, lenders generally take the middle of the three bureau scores, or the lower of two if one bureau has no score. That is the number TRI calls your likely lender score.

What does the free plan include?

Your Experian report and VantageScore 4.0, readiness checks for that report, and the freeze and dispute organizer. No card needed. The Readiness Pass adds all three bureaus, the mortgage FICO versions, on-demand refreshes and monitoring alerts.

How do I cancel?

On the Plan page. Two taps, no phone call. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and we remind you seven days before any renewal.

Do you fix or remove items from my report?

No. We do not offer credit repair. We help you find errors, file disputes directly with each bureau, and track the legal 30-day clock, free.

Are you part of Experian, Equifax or TransUnion?

No. TRI is independent and is not affiliated with any credit bureau or government agency.
